Uri Peleg aged 59, was born in 1948 in Shadmot Dvora in the Lower Galilee . In the early 1970's after his army service, he became a founding member of Moshav Ramot in the Southern Golan Heights on the Eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee.
Today Uri is one of Israel's leading horsemen: training horses of all breeds, age and temperament for over twenty years. Uri personally oversees the training programmes for all horses brought to Ramot Ranch, using his in depth knowledge acquired over the years by learning both from the horses themselves and other horsemen, known and unknown from all over the world, always treating each horse as an individual and designing the training programme accordingly.
Uri is the Director of the Horse Riding and Training Center at the Wingate College of Physical Education and Sport at the Wingate Institute, where he is responsible for the certification of hundreds of young riding instructors.
Known for his persistence, Uri has spent years working with Government Authorities in order to create a responsible system for the qualification of riding instructors, believing that every instructor must first address issues of safety and general ability before leading students to specialise in different styles of riding for competition purposes.
